Basil Alrashedi
Software Engineer focused on building scalable, data-driven applications and games. I work across C#, Python and Java — from architecture and CI/CD to shipping polished releases. Certified Junior Data Science Associate.
Engineer who likes to build things that ship.
I'm a Software Engineer with a strong foundation in developing scalable applications and data-driven solutions. My work spans the full software development life cycle — architecture, implementation, CI/CD, version control and debugging.
I'm proficient in C#, Python and Java, with hands-on experience building high-performance game logic and interactive systems in Unity and Unreal Engine, as well as data-analytics workflows.
I hold a B.S. in Software Engineering from the University of Hail and am a Certified Junior Data Science Associate (INE, MCIT Path) and IBM Artificial Intelligence Analyst.
Where I've worked
My path so far — roles, leadership, and the degree that started it.
- Engineer high-performance game logic and interactive systems in C# and Unity, with modular, scalable architecture.
- Establish coding standards and documentation across multiple collaborative repositories.
- Lead technical optimization and asset-pipeline management for titles heading to Steam.
- Build playtesting and player-logging frameworks for data-informed improvements.
- Directed the full development pipeline, ensuring clean integration and system stability.
- Managed Git/GitHub version control and streamlined production through CI/CD pipelines.
- Engineered core features in C# and Python with a focus on performance and UX.
- Ran debugging and performance profiling; built interactive systems in Unity and Unreal.
Things I've built
A shipped game and an open-source tool — two sides of what I do.
A fast-paced survival action game I helped build with the team at Aiqona Production. You ride through dangerous streets, dodge deadly enemies and fight to stay alive long enough to finish your shift — shadows chasing you, obstacles appearing out of nowhere, and enemies closing in fast.
View on Steam →A fully local web app I built: upload an audio or video recording and it transcribes it and labels each speaker with WhisperX, then turns the transcript into structured notes using a local LLM (Ollama / Qwen3). I read the transcript and notes side by side, chat with the model about the recording, and revisit every session from a local library. No external APIs, no keys, no cloud — it all runs on your own machine.
